2003 was the year that saw Feeder become household names. Hit singles such as 'Just The Way I'm Feeling', festival headline slots including v2003, and a sold out arena tour all supported a half-million selling album 'Comfort In Sound'.
Whilst last year saw the band in the ascendancy, Comfort In Sound, Feeder's fourth long player, could not have been created in more turbulent times. The band's longtime drummer Jon Lee committed suicide at the beginning of 2002, casting major doubt over whether the band would even continue.
They did so, and singer Grant Nicholas and bassist Taka Hirose (now joined by drummer Mark Richardson) creating a beautiful, melodic and emotionally triumphant record, which now stands as an elegant epitaph for absent friends and a signpost to even greater musical achievements in the future.
Feeder are currently recording their fifth album (due out in the Autumn) but will break from the studio to play their only confirmed show of 2004. Their date at the Apollo Hammersmith on 1st May is part of the Carling 24 Hours Of Music and is likely to be their only major show of the year - with proceeds from the band's merchandising stand will go to Cystic Fibrosis and War Child charities.

Feeder were originally formed in 1992 in Wales but the present line-up came together in London in 1995 when South Walians Grant Nicholas and Jon Lee decamped to London and found bassist Taka Hirose (from Tokyo) in the music.....
