Ani Meerman was born as Cees Meerman. He is best known as drummer in The Wild Romance, the band fronted by Herman Brood. Cees "Ani" Meerman joined the band in April or May 1976, replacing previous sticksman Peter Walrecht, and stayed until October 1979, when Peter Walrecht rejoined the fold.
In 1986 Cees "Ani" Meerman rejoined Herman Brood's Wild Romance, replacing Ad van der Ree. Meerman stayed until 1989. He was followed up by Roy Bakker.
Meerman also played drums with AA & Docters, Anna, Bismarck, Bonfire, Eyes, The Managers, Minsink Townhouse, Smyle, Tempel, and T.U.S.H.. The drummer currently plays with Meerman & Van Ligten.
